Video Resources for Entrepreneurial Legal Support

The CLEI plans to develop high-quality videos addressing common legal issues in company formation to meet the high demand for accessible legal guidance.

The Entrepreneurship Legal Services Clinic, along with other programs under the CLEI umbrella, has spent over 20 years helping entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. Throughout this time, they've identified that many entrepreneurs face similar challenges when it comes to forming their companies. Given the overwhelming demand for legal guidance and the limited capacity for one-on-one assistance, the CLEI recognizes the need for a more scalable solution.

In response, the CLEI is developing a series of three high-quality videos that will address key legal issues involved in starting a new company. These videos are designed to provide accessible, asynchronous support to entrepreneurs and will be tested with partner organizations to ensure they meet the needs of the intended audience. Once finalized, the videos will be made available on the CLEI website, offering a valuable resource to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial support organizations alike.

Who we are

The CLEI is a vehicle for multidisciplinary collaborators to form and deploy teams that promote the use of entrepreneurship and innovation in providing high-quality education, addressing societal needs with a diversity of knowledge bases and perspectives, and producing thoughtful and effective solutions to generate public good. UMKC’s CLEI is led by the Law School because laws are involved in virtually all challenging endeavors and the Law School emphasizes training context-aware, creative, brave, and generous lawyers to join in teams that are instruments of positive change in communities, businesses, policy, research, and the arts. We exemplify that belief by partnering with leaders from all fields in common missions to make all of the communities we serve more prosperous.
